From: Dave Brockman Via chugalug ------------------------------------------------------ Anyone need DSL Splitters/Filters? I am exploring boxes in the nether regions of the basement, and just thought I'd ask before I toss em. Also, anyone interested in ancient Cisco routing/switching equipment? Ancient, as in, I earned my CCNA on them? I'm also ready to give up my PIX collection if anyone wants it. I have a literal F-Ton of switches, most Gig, some 10/100, varying degrees of management capabilities. Not sure if any available are PoE, those spares tend to get used up more often. Let me know if you are looking and port density. (Most are going to be 16/24 or 48/52). No rush, I have 3 sections to pilfer through, but if anyone has a need, please unicast and I'll see what I can dig up. Ed, I got machines almost as old as we have known each other, are those old enough for you yet? :) Cheers all! -Dave=============================================================== From: Tyler Via chugalug ------------------------------------------------------ Hi Dave! I=E2=80=99d definitely be interested in acquiring the Gig switches. Ideally= 16-48 port if available. Do you happen to know the model numbers? -Ty
=============================================================== From: Dave Brockman Via chugalug ------------------------------------------------------ Suffice to say these will be SMB switches, so the usual suspects.=20 Linksys/Cisco SMB/Dell. I've had a hatred for all things Netgear going=20 way back to when they shipped cards with incomplete MAC addresses....=20 back when I still had a DSL circuit.... so probably not any of those.=20 So.... SWR-something Linksys, SG300 and older Cisco, eff I don't=20 remember Dell model numbers. Probably 2048T or something like that.=20 How many do you need? =============================================================== From: Tyler Via chugalug ------------------------------------------------------ Hi Dave! Thanks for this info. I=E2=80=99m building a few computer clusters for my university project. I=E2=80=99m interested in getting 2-3 Gigabit switches, especially somethin= g like the SG300. 24 or 48 port would be ideal for my setup. Are you looking to sell these or just clear them out? -Ty
