=============================================================== From: Dan Lyke ------------------------------------------------------ So in a bid to get a little more visibility into traffic moving around my network I recently reconfigured my home network to use my Linux box for DNS and DHCP, but I still use my ZTE300 modem/router to do the NAT. I recently learned that Ubiquiti makes some kick-ass little routers with 3 Ethernet ports and enough throughput to sustain a gigabit through each of 'em for about a hundred bucks. Which leads to two things: 1. Yeah, it'd be great to have that running too, so I could look for weird patterns, but... 2. I'm still not really doing anything with the dnsmasq output from my server. I don't want to run a full on ISP for my home, but there has to be some middle ground here, and maybe there's a way to build checks and balances devices that can be monetized... Dan
