=============================================================== From: Wil Wade ------------------------------------------------------ I have found that with the various hiring folk that this is just an easy way to require a certain level of ability. It is not the degree, but the ability to show up for enough classes and write ok enough, etc... to pass to get the degree. I would think a quality work history would be able to pass by the requirement as long as HR is not too large.

=============================================================== From: Mike Harrison ------------------------------------------------------ "Liberal Arts" majors are cheap and plentiful and looking for real jobs. They have student loans to pay off so they are motivated. And they bring skills and viewpoints useful to techies for reality checks... Some make pretty good coffee ;) (I know I guy that says he only hires ex-starbucks employees...)
