OT EPB Business

From: Stephen Haywood
------------------------------------------------------
I talked to EPB about getting a business line and static IP in my house. It
will cost me 59.99/mth for a 30M line and another $15/mth for the static
IP. My first thought was WTH. Am I crazy, is this a reasonable price for a
static IP for my business?

=============================================================== From: Ralph Edge ------------------------------------------------------ I've paid a lot more for Charter/Comcast business lines. Sounds like a good deal to me.

=============================================================== From: Dan Eveland ------------------------------------------------------ In Florida I paid maybe 50% more for less with Brighthouse.

=============================================================== From: Mike Harrison ------------------------------------------------------ Your choice is DynDNS or Static.. and I'd say that's an insanely good deal.

=============================================================== From: Dave Brockman ------------------------------------------------------ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Your options for comparable services: Your options for paying more for less: Comcast: 16/3 for $69.95/month, 1 Static - $14.95/mo, 5 Static - $19.95/month, 13 Static - $34.95/mo ATT: Max of 24MB down (not in Chattanooga), Max of 3MB up, starting at $40/month (but that starts at 768k/256k). About $250-$300/month is the cheapest I know of for a T1, which is 1.54MB up and down. =============================================================== From: Bret McHone ------------------------------------------------------ We have two T3s and a 50MB metro-e internet connection through AT&T... I guarantee you that is a hell of a deal. At least we are getting rid of one of the T3s in a couple months... the amount we will save by dropping that one will more than pay for the other two connections... =============================================================== From: Rod-Lists ------------------------------------------------------ That's about what my phone & non business connection runs with EPB. I've been told by folk who worked at a site that had both, Comcast will give your more ip addresses but EPB was more stable. ----- Original Message -----
