debian:stupid samba question

From: Rod-Lists
------------------------------------------------------
apparently I have samba server running but didn't config the accounts.
What is my first step to making this usable?

=============================================================== From: Benjamin Stewart ------------------------------------------------------ Try adding http://

=============================================================== From: Ed King ------------------------------------------------------ you don't have samba "swat" running. swat is a nice, but optional, web interface for samba config for maximum pleasure I recommend studying/editing the samba config file manually... man smb.conf vi /etc/samba/smb.conf --- On Wed, 4/10/13, Rod-Lists wrote:

It is a powerful tool that seems to set m= ost parameters. You may want to try it. Just add the package gadmin-samba f= rom Synaptics and you can try it out. =============================================================== From: Mike Harrison ------------------------------------------------------ I've usually used SWAT to get a basic working config quickly. and then edited directly after that. SWAT's enough for basic usage of samba. Thanks, I need to take a look at that. :)

=============================================================== From: Jonathan Calloway ------------------------------------------------------ This is a little off topic, but not really. I haven't messed with Samba 4 yet. Did they make any significant changes to SWAT in SAMBA 4?
