Swap meet...

From: Chris Cantwell

I was heading down to East Ridge mall for Ed King's swap meet, with a load
of old computer stuff, but Ed cancelled. Anyone interested in putting
another one together? Tomorrow at 1pm, perhaps, or next weekend?
Here's some of my stuff:
Intel board + 2.13Ghz Core2 CPU + 4GB RAM + DVD drive, Seasonic PSU, works
great with Windows 7 or Linux, $150
AMD 1Ghz computer, 250 GB IDE, 512MB RAM, recent PSU replacement, $25, good
for a file server - case has room for 4 hard drives.
Old Intel Socket 370 866Mhz MicroATX, micro case, setup as a router with 4
Ethernet ports, offers?
Old Nikon SCSI scanner, will work under Linux
Box of floppy drives and Iomega zip drives, $5 (or maybe less!)
Two 80GB SATA drives, $10 ea
320GB SATA drive $20
No reasonable offer refused!

=============================================================== From: Aaron Welch ------------------------------------------------------ We can have one here at Iron Labs tomorrow If you like. -AW

=============================================================== From: Mike Harrison ------------------------------------------------------ A Sunday afternoon would be a great time to do something geeky... How about a swap meet and a boot camp for some FPS games? I've got a bunch of stuff a couple of blocks away that would be worth doing some trading with: rack mount servers... A collection of odd parts. RAM, HD's.. a Chumby, some joysticks.. etc.. etc..

=============================================================== From: Michael Scholten ------------------------------------------------------ I'd love to join in on the games... To bad I'll be otherwise busy. -Michael

=============================================================== From: Aaron Welch ------------------------------------------------------ We can do this EVERY Sunday. -AW RAM, HD's.. a Chumby, some joysticks.. etc.. etc..

=============================================================== From: Aaron welch ------------------------------------------------------ I will take the lack of response to mean that no one is interested. I will try and hold a swap meet for the general public the Sunday after Thanksgiving at the Iron Labs. I will have a ton of my stuff there and will see who all I can get from the community to show up. I will have tables available for $5 and $10 depending on size. If anyone is interested, let me know. -AW

=============================================================== From: Ed King ------------------------------------------------------ a noble idea but personally I'm too lazy and cheap to haul a bunch of shit across town, pay to set it up, and then have the general public ask me if an SGI Indy will run Windows 8. However if this swapmeet idea comes to fruition, I may show up as a "buyer" ;)

=============================================================== From: DaWorm ------------------------------------------------------ I'll be out of town that Sunday and the next, but am interested any other time. Jeff.

=============================================================== From: Stephen Kraus ------------------------------------------------------ I'd be up for a swap meet at your place Aaron, I won't be able to do it till the week after this one though, going out of town for thanksgiving.

=============================================================== From: DaWorm ------------------------------------------------------ I believe they are Wyse 60's, but I'll have to go look. I think I still have two of them. I picked up a Soroc from a guy recently that I'm trying to rebuild. Got the monitor working, but I think RAM is dead. Also have a neat little portable terminal, but I dropped it and now the keyboard/cover brackets are broken. Sad. My ADM3a and SWTPC terminals aren't for trade, but I do have a spare motherboard and power supply for a ADM3a if anyone needs parts. I dropped it too and broke the bakelite case, then scavenged the CRT for use in an PET 8032 machine. Speaking of keyboards, does anyone have a keyboard for a TRS80 Modell II? The one with the dual 8" floppies? I think I tossed mine by mistake when I got rid of a bunch of XT style keyboards a while back. Jeff.
