EPB / GigCity Question:

From: Mike Harrison

re: GigCity / EPB

I just got asked privately a question I don't know the answer to.

Does anyone know what the peak total upstream EPB has currently?

"Mike do you know the answer to this?

If EPB says they got 1 gig is that only locally ? So when they hit the
backbone what speed is the EPB customer going to get in reality? I
recall 48 MB as a backbone connection or something but that was years

=============================================================== From: Dave Brockman ------------------------------------------------------ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 The last I saw/heard it was 2 x 10GB x 2 Upstreams, so 40GB total. Currently, there's nothing wrong with that scale. The "Gig" they talk about is the ability to light up a 1GB circuit from your ONT to the GPON.
