From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Hey, everyone... just wanted to invite anyone who's in town and interested in home brewing to come to the Barley Mob meeting on Tuesday at McHale's. The "Business" meeting starts around 6:30, but the "hang out and talk beer" part starts around 7. We're likely to be discussing the Southern Brewer's Festival next weekend. :D Now, to make this *somewhat* on-topic, does anyone have any experience with running any sort of linux-based home brew software? :D I was on Freshmeat...err..sorry, Freecode (they appear to have renamed it) and was gratified to see that there are a number of beer-making applications there.=============================================================== From: Jason Brown ------------------------------------------------------ I probably won't make this meeting, getting robots ready for Dragon Con. We have been using BrewTarget for calculations and to store our recipes. Great for single user but we are finding that for multiple people taking notes and such is working better with Google Docs. http://brewtarget.sourceforge.net/ --Jason
=============================================================== From: Ed King ------------------------------------------------------ I have a sneaking suspicion that Jason has a BeerBot at home, programmed for the dedicated task of fetching and delivering beer from the fridge :)
=============================================================== From: Jason Brown ------------------------------------------------------ Working on the bot that makes the beer first ;) These guys have a good start: http://www.oscsys.com/projects And these guys too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
