Apparently (upon reading the link) it's a brand of floppy drive that had a
high failure rate.  Apple switched to Sony drives before actually selling
these.

I think this is a very cool, perhaps one-of-a-kind item.  But $84,000.00 is
a LOT of money.  Like, multiple-years-salary money.  I think the owner
would be better trying to sell it directly to computer / apple / technology
museums than listing it on ebay.  Imagine how much it's going to cost if it
doesn't sell.

personally fly up to Canada and pick the thing up - have a week's vacation

at the top of the ad, he talks about how he's a "wozniac" as in "woz
maniac" - steve's name is spelled wozniak.

the $1500 shipping is for the $1000 worth of insurance. I agree that just
flying or driving up to get it would be better. I live in Portland, I could
run and get it if anyone wants!

and anyway, for 80 grand I expect delivery in person. I've done more for a
LOT less!
