There sometimes are some other settings you have to change based on the provider. I'm stuck with two choices: Windstream or Charter. I'm really trying to help out my ex-wife's grandmother. Her DSL isn't working and I can't figure out why. I'm hoping to rule out the modem by taking the Netopia, but if I can't make it work, I won't bother, and I'll just go pick up a cheap router for her to at least test with (to rule in/out Windows as the problem.)
