Docks are one. Multiple Desktops are another. I spent years trying to get ports of various *nix things running under Win/CygWin -- before virtualization became workable, and laptops got enough oomph to rum them. But that gets me the best of both worlds usually, Win to interact with the other Win stuff on the network, and a *nix CLI to actually work with.... =============================================================== From: Rod-Lists ------------------------------------------------------ That works but the minute you try to add dock you get the reference to the = windows app called "xwindows dock". http://dockapps.org/ no longer exists. A lot of other dock app sites are g= one too. Down the memory hole. Looks like most of it has been moved to dockapps.windowmaker.org. Most of the links in the docapps section of towers windowmaker pages are br= oken. The whole world of dockapps are diappearing from the net. Strangely enough a lot of the conky site are going belly up too. ----- Original Message ----- From: Alex Smith (K4RNT) To: CHUGALUG Sent: Thu, 26 Jan 2012 16:21:44 -0500 (EST) Subject: Re: [Chugalug] This sick (on topic) Try using "xwindows" as a single search term and not separate words. omes the top selections on search. f .
