From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Hey, guys... I've got a small annoyance with Google Chrome -- Any time I click on a "mailto:" link, it opens FireFox which then tries to open Evolution. In my system settings, my default email app is KMail. I went to the Chrome support website and it said something about changing your default applications settings within Chrome, so I went there, but I don't HAVE any default apps in Chrome, and there's no way I can see to set them. Anyone know how to fix this so that Chrome doesn't keep launching Firefox and Evolution? I'd *like* to have it open a new message in KMail, but I"ll settle for it NOT launching Firefox!

=============================================================== From: William Wade ------------------------------------------------------ What window manager are you using? If KDE, my guess is that Chrome is reading the Gnome application settings. s-mail-client-in-a-gnome-desktop/ since you likely don't want to go over to Gnome and try to find the setting. If you do not find these menus then you could still make use of the GNOME Configuration Editor. -> From the command-line run =E2=80=9Cgconf-editor=E2=80=9D -> Move to /desktop/gnome/applications/url-handlers/mailto -> Right-click on =E2=80=9Ccommand=E2=80=9D field and Click on =E2=80=9CEdi= t Key=E2=80=9D and modify to thunderbird %s =E2=80=94 for example -> Check the =E2=80=9Cenable=E2=80=9D field -> Uncheck the =E2=80=9Cneeds
