From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ The DesignJet is connected to the network via a JetDirect ew2500 external print server. It has been reported that there are "issues" printing to the DesignJet via the ew2500, but it works for at least two people, so I don't know why you can't install the driver and print to it. I will say that it appears to be a different version of the driver than any I've been able to find so far.

=============================================================== From: Dave Brockman ------------------------------------------------------ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 So... share the printer from one of the machines that *works*. Provided the other end is the same OS and architecture, it should be able to install the driver that way. Once installed, then you can create a tcp9100 port, and change the port the printer is on. This is assuming your Windows environment of course... =============================================================== From: Cynicalgeek ------------------------------------------------------ I second Dave's idea. I'm wondering if that Jetdirect supports the PCL language.

=============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Quoting Cynicalgeek : I won't swear to it, and that could be part of the problem, for all I know.

=============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Quoting Cynicalgeek : The spec sheet for the JetDirect doesn't say whether or not it supports PCL. I'm told that the printer itself does not support PS. The JD box does support IPP, FWIW.
