From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ Android 2.1, not 2.2, but can't you upgrade them? Also, I don't know if this is the right type of touchscreen or not. Ends at midnight. Anyone want to chime in if this is worth having? If so, I might get one.

=============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ 1saleaday.com. it's a refurb. Ends in less than 8 hours.

=============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ You can get as many Cheap Android 1.6 - 2.2 Tablets as you want for $80 or less all day long, everyday. http://s.dealextreme.com/search/android+tablet.html?GEPrice=60.00&LEPrice=120.00&PageSize=40&sort=Price - Chad W Smith "I like a man who's middle name is W." - President George W. =============================================================== From: John Aldrich ------------------------------------------------------ So you're saying it wasn't a good bargain? :D When you say "cheap" do you mean, "not good" or do you mean "inexpensive"?

So, where can one pick up an *inexpensive* but nice Android tablet, or is there such a creature? I would love to have an Android tablet, but I can't justify $200+

=============================================================== From: Chad Smith ------------------------------------------------------ I cannot speak directly to their quality. However, I would not buy any device whose main or sole means of input is a touch screen if said touch screen were not capacitive multitouch. The DS and its variants are "exclusions" because the touchscreen is not the main, and definitely not only, means of input. (But I still wish the 3DS was capacitive multitouch.) The N900 I use isn't either - but it has a keyboard - and had I known then how important CMT was, I wouldn't have bought it. That all to say - I would be shocked if the cheap tablets I showed you were capactive. But I feel the same about the original link as well. A Nook Color Refurbished is $179 - and sometimes $169 on Buy.com - it was what I was about to buy before the HP Touchpad thing happened. It is capacitive. - Chad W Smith "I like a man who's middle name is W." - President George W. Bush - February 10, 2003 bit.ly/gwb-dubya
